The Sri Lankan community in Milan recently joined an intercultural gathering hosted at the Church of Scientology, focused on dialogue, integration and shared ethical values. The meeting highlighted The Way to Happiness and intercultural dialogue, using the common-sense moral code written by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard as a basis for discussion.
Community representatives, families and young people reflected on the importance of respect, honesty, responsibility and peaceful coexistence in daily life. A particular focus was placed on younger generations, with Sri Lankan community leaders encouraging youth participation so that young people could become familiar with ethical principles that may guide future choices.
Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the European Union, the OSCE, the Council of Europe and the United news eureka Nations, said such initiatives show how shared values can build trust across cultures. Across Europe, Scientology churches, missions and volunteers carry out community initiatives focused on education, prevention and neighbourhood-level support.
